Доставили на следующей день после заказа курьером до квартиры. Работает и пишет даже от usb 2. Но только при прямом подключении. С любым удлинителем в системе даже не определяется. Тут нужно брать резак с двойным usb проводом, но меня и так устраивает. Нет кнопки извлечения диска, нужно в виндах нажимать мышкой на извлечь и тогда диск выезжает из дисковода. Работает не шумно. Запись на cd около 1,1 MB/s. Т. е. Сд записывает минут 5. Чтение СД 2,5мб/с. Считывает диск целиком минуты за 3. Меня устраивает, для редкого использования, для старых архивных дисков сойдёт. Будет в ящике с дисками валяться, кто знает, может резаки вообще перестанут производить. Хороший товар за смешную цену. Я доволен покупкой.

Got the drive today, delivered right to my doorstep. At first glance looks cool, but when you look closer you'll see small problems with the finish. Well, what do you expect for this price? It definitely works, made several music CDs with it today. It's a bit idiosyncratic, doesn't eject disks sometimes. Or may be the disks are of bad quality, I've yet to test. Writing speed is about x8. I bought it as a replacement of my old drive that died on me recently and so far it is acceptable. Let me test it more.

Так и не понял умеет ли он записывать/стирать DVD-RW. Мои какие были все "выплевывал" (даже чистые). Может конечно что с дисками, но хранились в коробке. Доставка со склада в РФ порадовала - очень быстро за 3 дня и курьером до кв.

The Writer is actually USB2.0 and not USB3.0 (only 4 pins on the connector), despite the description and the logos on the box. As the manual states "It is suitable for USB2.0/3.0 connectors" The write speed is 4x which is slow. Suits my needs though as I only need to be able to occasionally read old CD-ROM's. Read actions fluctuate between 0.7 and 1.0 Mbyte/sec. Again, slow but good enough for me. The bottom has a rubber ring on which it is supposed to rest. But, the bottom bulges in the middle making it rest on the middle. Starting and stopping the CD causes it to jerk around its center. Added some spare rubber feet to overcome that. Caveat emptor.
